In order to display non-English characters (such as ä, ß or é) correctly you must select both a font and a script that support the specific language. Head to the Options menu and click Set Font Style and Color. In the next window select a font and a script. Example: To display Cyrillic, you can set the font to Courier New and the Script to Cyrillic. Please note that you'll lose ASCII art support if you select a font other than the default (GetDizLarge or GetDizTiny).
